Hotel – Loose Change

Hotel

‘Loose Change’ is the debut single from Sydney-based artist Hotel. It’s an upbeat indie rock track, powered by a fast drum, new wave guitar and synth effects. The track features his childhood friend Obi III, of Triple One fame.

Hotel, also known as Andrew Tudehope, says: “After I wrote the track, I wanted to get my friends involved with it. I wanted to be able to look back when I am an old man with saggy old man skin and a fading memory and have this track as a memory of how much fun I could have when doing something productive with my best mates.”

“’Loose Change’ is a track about coming to the realisation that the eternal search for more is only holding one back from enjoying what is in front of them,” he adds. “The song is my anger towards the fact that I was intoxicated for so long by the aromas of riches placed in front of me by the media and society. Money has never made the person. Money is just another thing we are tricked into thinking we need. I wanted to enjoy the moment more and stop worrying about the future and subsequently missing the present.”

I, for one, really like this song and can’t wait to see what else he creates.
