The Indigos – She

Last year Australian song writing duo The Indigos released their first single ‘By Your Side’, a dreamlike love song with a vocal weaving between the languid instrumentation and occasionally rising above it. All appropriate to the repeated simple message and late night feeling.

Now new release ‘She’ goes to the other end of the spectrum; like some barbed reply to the previous track there is anguished angst in the vocal. The band let loose around a bass founded chord sequence that cycles around and just gets louder until an abrupt and desperate end ‘…she won’t get out of my head and I don’t know what is happening….’.

Difficult to know in which direction the band will go from here but these two tracks certainly show their versatility and ability to craft a spicy single.
