Orchid Mantis – Never Know Why

‘Never Know Why’ is the third single from Orchid Mantis’ upcoming album, ‘Far From This World’, which comes out on November 20th.

I enjoy the lo-fi elements to this track, along with the prominence of the acoustic guitar. It adds an emotional element along with a nighttime ambience. It provides an ethereal sound, only added to by the dream-like lyrics.

They seem to use a metaphor to refer to a relationship which is falling apart. It’s a really good, pondering listen and I’m looking forward to hearing the new album on the strength of this track.
