OZZY OSBOURNE’s Final Bow Hits Theaters In 2026: Back To The Beginning Concert Film Announced

Following its sold-out, history-making global livestream and epic sendoff in Birmingham, Back To The Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow will make its way to theaters in early 2026. The upcoming feature-length concert film — produced by Mercury Studios — will offer a 100-minute immersive cinematic experience, celebrating the legendary career of Ozzy Osbourne and his towering influence on heavy metal through the pioneering sound of Black Sabbath.
Filmed during the all-day spectacle at Villa Park, Ozzy‘s hometown in Birmingham, Back To The Beginning captures the raw emotion, sonic power, and magnitude of one of the most iconic nights in metal history. Framed as a love letter to Ozzy and the genre Black Sabbath helped invent, the theatrical cut condenses the marathon event into a visceral concert film complete with exclusive backstage access, intimate interviews, and never-before-seen footage.
While the theatrical release will give fans around the globe a chance to relive or finally witness the monumental show on the big screen, a physical product release is also set to arrive later in 2026. More details on international theatrical rollout dates, participating cinemas, and ticket information will be revealed in the coming months.
In a revealing interview with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation, Black Sabbath‘s Tony Iommi offered rare, behind-the-scenes insight into the band”s emotional reunion.
“Well, by the time we were finished talking about what’s, you know, our health and everything else, and then we sort of went into, just started playing and that’s really what we did,” Iommi said. “Just started, we worked out what we were gonna play, what songs we were gonna play.
“And it was really a case of how long Ozzy could do it, really, because we didn’t know – with him doing his own set, which I said to him, I didn’t think he should do because I didn’t want him to get burnt out by the time he come with us. But, you know, he didn’t, and he did his own set. And we didn’t know, we ended up doing four songs where we put aside sort of six or seven, but it worked out that we did four. So that was fine.”
The band”s legendary comeback wasn”t without concern — particularly about Ozzy Osbourne performing a full solo set right before taking the stage with Black Sabbath. “Geezer and myself and Bill, we thought that he should have a longer break and we didn’t really know how we were gonna do it because the original plan was we got a curtain and the curtain was gonna be raised and we’d all be there.”
Back to the Beginning was more than a farewell — it became a record-setting act of philanthropy. The concert raised over $190 million for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Acorn Children’s Hospice, and Cure Parkinson’s.
That staggering total makes it the highest-grossing charity concert of all time, surpassing legendary events like Live Aid (1985), FireAid (2025), and Hope for Haiti Now (2010). The concert’s fundraising effort was especially personal for Ozzy, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and has been a vocal advocate for research ever since.
