Chasers – No Other Way

‘No Other Way’ is the brand-new debut release from young Birmingham band Chasers. And I absolutely love it.

Created in a rehearsal before their show at The Sunflower Lounge in early 2020, it’s a fun, uplifting track which had me shuffling on the first listen. Everything from the melody to the lyrics give the song a cheeky, fun vibe which make it a must-listen for fans of Noughties British indie rock (like myself). I’m looking forward to playing this at parties when we’re able to have them again and I can’t wait to hear more from such a talented local band.

Speaking of the meaning behind the new track, the band says: “[it] follows an individual on a night out enjoying the clubbing environment before laying eyes upon a girl who completely mesmerises them. However, they are met with a battling consciousness of whether they should make a move or not due to fear of rejection.”

While I miss clubbing, I’m certainly not planning on missing out on anything Chasers do over the next few months, and you’ll definitely see me in the crowd at one of their shows in the near future.
