Julien Baker Announces Intimate Rock Club Residency Tour
After making several surprise appearances on stage over the past few weeks, Julien Baker is officially returning to the road this fall with a series of intimate, three-night residencies in six cities across the United States.
Baker’s month-long rock club tour is set to kick off on October 15 with three consecutive shows at Kilby Court in Salt Lake City. The run will continue with multi-night stints in Cambridge, Massachusetts; Carrboro, North Carolina; Athens, Georgia; and Lawrence, Kansas, before concluding with a three-night residency in Seattle, Washington, on November 19. A Return to the Stage
The announcement of this residency tour comes just one day after Baker performed a surprise show at The Blue Room in Nashville. During that performance, she was joined by longtime collaborators Matt Gilman and Calvin Lauber, both of whom will accompany her on the upcoming tour.
Baker has maintained a relatively low profile since the conclusion of the boygenius tour in 2024. While she had planned a summer 2025 tour to support her collaborative album with Torres, she ultimately canceled those dates to prioritize her health and well-being. Following a year-long hiatus from live performances, Baker has recently begun to re-emerge, including a solo show in Nantucket in late August and a surprise guest appearance during Lucy Dacus’ set at Outside Lands.
New Music on the Horizon
The Nashville performance served as a preview of what fans might expect from the upcoming residency, as Baker debuted four new songs. According to a press release, these tracks emerged from her recent time in the studio. Baker’s last full-length solo album, Little Oblivions, was released in 2021.
