Andy Keels – Get Up, Stand Up
NYC-based British singer-songwriter Andy Keels has just released his second solo single, ‘Get Up, Stand Up’, a few weeks after unveiling his debut single ‘Dead To Me’, alongside a magnificent music video.
The Surrey native has worked at the Germano Studios in New York, with Grammy winning engineer and producer, Dave Rowland (Kanye West, The Killers, John Legend).
Andy Keels feels that the city of NYC inspires him and helps him channel his creativity and vision, thanks to its vitality and multiple facets.
Keels got started with singing and writing music when he was at secondary school. Since the beginning, Andy was really hungry to learn, improve, and perform whenever he could. Andy Keels is also an actor who has appeared in commercials, short and feature length films, including, 211, with Nicolas Cage.
Inspired by Green Day’s songwriter and producer Max Martin (NSYNC), Andy Keels quickly found his way of writing pop songs. Ray Charles, Elvis, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Travis and Oasis, are also among the iconic bands that have influenced Andy’s approach towards music.
For Andy Keels, music is a therapy, and ‘Get Up, Stand Up’ will be a therapy for anyone who gives it a listen.
