Coral – Instant Noodles

‘Instant Noodles’ is the third release from Swedish singer-songwriter Coral’s upcoming debut album ‘Spoon’.

This latest single is a beautifully arranged ode to procrastination.

Featuring upbeat instrumentation and melodic guitars ‘Instant Noodles’ gives us a brief insight into what the Scandinavian musician likes to do with her really spare time.

The activities she lists as time-wasting activities range from playing Mario Kart through to masturbating and spending all her money on the superfluous items online. Oh and, of course, eating instant noodles.

Those lyrics and activities, when taken out of context of the song’s beautiful framework, may make the track sound silly. And it probably might sound just that way if it wasn’t for Coral’s delicate vocals which could make even the seediest of activities seem wholesome and pure.

‘Instant Noodles’ is an easy listen, it asks nothing of you. Those gentle guitars and delicate drums are matched by Coral’s gorgeous lilting vocal performance. The whole thing carries you away on a cloud of apathy and I’m here for it.

At the very least it’s given me a few more things to add to my lockdown to do list.
