LUKA – Past The Point Of No Return
London and Leeds-based singer-songwriter LUKA returns with her latest single ‘Past the Point of No Return’ and the beauty of the track is astounding.
Clever synth work is layered beneath as soothing guitars whir away and LUKA’s haunting vocal looms throughout. The soloist says of the thought process behind the track, it’s “a song about general mental health struggles.” You really do feel the agony behind the music.
You can imagine the track playing over top of a gritty period drama, as a Viking warrior looks back in melancholic regret, at the smouldering remains of the village he just burnt to the ground.
Away from moody Vikings, LUKA says the track was penned through “exploring experiences with anxiety and depression and trying to get past them in order to live life to the fullest.” ‘Past the Point of No Return’ comes on the back of the solo artist’s success with her debut release ‘Play Thing’ which garnered industry acclaim.
It is a truly beautiful follow up after a successful introduction to the industry for LUKA. We can’t wait to see & hear what the journey brings next.
