Chicago-based singer-songwriter sock jock is back with her new single ‘know’, a happy sounding upbeat track with a meaning which is anything but. Her latest project explores themes of heartbreak and betrayal, and ‘know’ fits perfectly into that. She discusses the hollow emptiness which follows after a break-up, especially one where you have changed something about yourself in order to make the relationship work.

Despite it being the depths of December, sock jock has created a glorious track which transports me back to summer. I really enjoy the folk-tinged guitar strums which support her beautiful vocals, and she’s definitely someone to watch out for.

sock jock is an artist who has spent years mastering her craft – her first uploads to Soundcloud were when she was aged just 13 – and it really shows in the quality of her sound.
