ARCHSPIRE Stays Fast As Hell On New Single “Limb Of Leviticus”

Archspire, the self-proclaimed “world’s fastest band,” have unleashed “Limb of Leviticus,” the second single from their highly anticipated new album, Too Fast to Die, due April 10, 2026. Now five albums deep, the Canadian tech-death virtuosos continue to redefine extreme music, blending mind-bending speed with unexpected melodic hooks and razor-sharp precision.

Vocalist Oliver Rae Aleron offered a glimpse into the chaos behind the track: “We wrote this song to try and make our new drummer quit. Instead, he requested we play it faster and mocked us for being bald. Boy, do we wish we had nice, thick, shiny hair like Spencer. Also, he’s the only member in the band that’s cut. Hope y’all dig this song!”

The single follows “Carrion Ladder,” which introduced the band’s new drummer, Spencer Moore, whose arrival marks a fresh chapter in Archspire‘s trajectory. Moore quickly proved his mettle: “I had to step my game up fast to pull off the new material,” he says. “But once we started tracking, everything felt comfortable and natural.”

Recorded in 2025 with world-renowned producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis), the band locked themselves inside his Denver studio for months, fully dedicating themselves to Too Fast to Die. The album follows the Juno Award-winning Bleed the Future and is Archspire‘s first fully independent release.

Independence has already proven fruitful: crowdfunding efforts raised nearly $400,000 CAD in 30 days, surpassing the goal in under 24 hours. Guitarist Dean Lamb recalls the moment: “I was actually shaking when I pressed launch. We’d never taken on something this big, and all I could think was, ‘man, I hope we don’t mess this up.'”

Musically, Archspire continue to operate on the knife’s edge of excess. Songs like “Limb of Leviticus” combine ultra-fast drumming, rap-flow vocal assaults, and lightning-quick riffs with moments of soaring melody that give listeners a brief but necessary reprieve before plunging them back into extreme technicality. As Aleron puts it: “We’re like a bit of meth in your cigarette. I think people don’t quite know how to describe what they’re hearing.”
