CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Completes Recording Their New Double Album

The wait is finally over! Corrosion Of Conformity has wrapped recording on their highly anticipated follow-up to 2018’s No Cross No Crown. The record will be Corrosion Of Conformity’s second effort with drummer Stanton Moore, who previously played on the band’s 2010 record In The Arms Of God.
The sludge metal legends have confirmed that the upcoming record will be a double album alongside the following statement: “For all the freethinkers and beer drinkers… Woody and Pepper have just finished tracking one of the most meaningful and powerful records we have ever been a part of.
“This would not have been possible without the skills of all those that have joined this caravan, that is still in hot pursuit. Stanton Moore, Bobby Rock and Mr. Warren Riker between the speakers and never telling us to turn down… now he’s off to mixland. There’s many others that this would have not been possible without and whom will not be forgotten. This is what was in our head for three years and today we can say it is no longer ours.
“Thank you all, see you on the horizon. Oh yeah. It’s a double album. FOREVER AMPLIFIED. COC“.
Some of the guitar sessions for the record were tracked at a private studio in Miami owned by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees. On July 20, Corrosion Of Conformity shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Keenan with Gibb, thanking the legendary musician for opening his world to them. In their own words: “We were humbled and definitely thank you Barry Gibb, Stephen Gibb and Warren Riker… Barry even shared his most prized instruments, aka the Staying Alive Strat! No Jive Talkin — this was next-level.”
The connection came through Stephen Gibb (Barry‘s son), known for his work with Black Label Society and Crowbar, who recently launched a new project called Kill The Robot. With Warren Riker at the production helm — who previously worked with Corrosion Of Conformity and also produced two Down records — the collaboration came together seamlessly.
The past year has been a transitional one for Corrosion Of Conformity. In September 2024, founding bassist Mike Dean announced his departure from the band. Soon after, longtime friend Bobby Landgraf (known for his stint in Down and work as Pantera’s bass tech) stepped in on bass duties. Landgraf first joined the group for the Headbangers Boat cruise in 2024 and has since become an integral part of both their live and studio lineup.
