CRAZY TOWN’s SHIFTY SHELLSHOCK Dead At 49

Crazy Town vocalist Shifty Shellshock (real name Seth Binzer) has died at 49 years old. Multiple outlets have reported Binzer‘s death, citing the County Of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s website as the source of the tragic news. Crazy Town has not yet issued a statement on the matter.

No cause of death has been revealed. Binzer has publicly struggled with drug addiction throughout his life, and even appeared on the Celebrity Rehab 1 and 2 – and Sober House 1 and 2 – television shows.

Shellshock founded Crazy Town in 1995 alongside vocalist Bret “Epic” Mazur, and is best known for the band’s massive 2000 single “Butterfly”. The single hit number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for two non-consecutive weeks and remains the band’s most popular song. Shellshock fronted Crazy Town from its founding up until his death.
