GOYA Loses Their Cool About The State Of Things On New Song “Depressive Episode”

Goya has briefly abandon their usual doomy sound for a lot more aggression on their latest single “Depressive Episode”. And who can blame them? The song tackles everything from climate change to the shittiness of capitalism. Dudes have every right to rip out a total rager.

“The fastest song to date on a Goya LP, the D-beat inspired ‘Depressive Episode’ explores the heartbreak of existing within an undeniable reality of climate change under capitalism,” said Goya frontman Jeffrey Owens of the single.

“Every year in Phoenix, we break heat records, and it’s impossible to ignore how severe of an issue this is, while the leaders and CEOs of the world continue to dehumanize the population, finding ways to profit off our suffering, laughing all the way to the bank as they inch our cities closer and closer to being unliveable every day.”

Goya will release their new record In the Dawn of November on June 13. The record was produced by Jack Endino (High On Fire, Year of the Cobra, Soundgarden), and is available for pre-order in all its icy blue glory right here (and here, and here in Europe).
