Kings Of Thrash – the band featuring Megadeth alumni David Ellefson, Chris Poland, and Jeff Young alongside vocalist Chaz Leon and drummer Fred Aching (Dead Groove, BulletBoys) – is back with a thrashing good time in the form a new single called “Lockdown”. The single comes alongside a music video directed by Aching and his Dead Groove bandmate Holly West.

“Lockdown” is what Young describes as “a cool mix of 80s thrash and punk vibes, plus four guitar solos (!!!) We had a lot of fun bringing this song to life!” Which is hard to argue with after you’ve heard the song like, once total.

Ellefson added: “‘Lockdown’ captures the true spirit of old school thrash metal, with a lyric that can be seen as timely in this chaotic world we now live in.”

There’s more Kings of Thrash on the way, too, as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of Megadeth‘s Youthanasia and other thrash classics. Catch the band on tour at one of the dates below, and remember – stretch before you headbang recklessly. Neck injuries suck.
