MEGADETH Post Footage From Behind The Scenes Of Filming “Tipping Point” Music Video

A week ago, Megadeth dropped their music video for their latest single, “Tipping Point” off their self-titled and final album, with over two million cumulative streams across YouTube and Spotify.
Following up on the music video and the success of the single, Megadeth took to X to post some behind-the-scenes footage from the filming of “Tipping Point.” Featuring shots of the band, the crew, the director, and camera men, it offers a quick but effective view of the events that unfurled in front of the camera.
“Tipping Point” is the first single off the band’s forthcoming self-titled LP which is due out on January 23rd, 2026. Signed to BLKIIBLK, Dave Mustaine‘s Tradecraft branch of Frontier Label Group, Mustaine explained that single is about having: “different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day. I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.”

Megadeth formed in 1983 by Mustaine after being dismissed from Metallica. Joining forces with bassist David Ellefson, they released their debut album Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good! in 1985, before quickly refining their style in 1986 with their second LP, Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying? And then, throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Megadeth released So Far, So Good… So What! in 1988, Rust in Peace in 1990, and Countdown to Extinction in 1992, which ended up earning them the title as one of four thrash metal ‘gods’ known as the “Big Four” alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax.
Announcing that the band’s upcoming LP will be their last, Mustaine reflected on the situation, saying: “There’s so many musicians that have come to the end of their career, whether accidental or intentional. Most of them don’t get to go out on their own terms on top, and that’s where I’m at in my life right now… The hardest part of all of this is saying goodbye…
“This is also a perfect time for us to tell you that it’s our last studio album. Don’t be mad, don’t be sad, be happy for us all, come celebrate with me these next few years.
“We started a musical style, we started a revolution, we changed the guitar world and how it’s played, and we changed the world. The bands I played in have influenced the world. I love you all for it. Thank you for everything.”
