METALLICA Announce 2026 European Tour Dates With GOJIRA, KNOCKED LOOSE, PANTERA & AVATAR

Metallica has announced that the M72 tour will return to Europe in 2026, running from May through July.

As with the previous M72 runs, the tour will feature Metallica’s distinctive in-the-round stadium production. With the Snake Pit located at the center of the stage, fans can look forward to a 360-degree concert experience that few artists attempt at this scale.

Support across the run will come from a mix of familiar and new names to Metallica’s touring circle: Pantera returns for another leg, while Gojira — a band that shared the road with Metallica during both the World Magnetic and WorldWired tours— joins the bill once again. They’ll be joined by rising stars Knocked Loose and Avatar.

“We’re excited to continue the now-tradition of No Repeat Weekends and will also have a mix of some One Night Only shows,” the band shared in a statement. “Pantera is returning for another M72 run with us, and we’re reuniting with our World Magnetic touring partner/WorldWired guest Gojira. And we’re excited to welcome Knocked Loose and Avatar to the tour.”

The No Repeat Weekend format will return in select cities, offering fans a unique chance to hear two completely different setlists across two nights. These shows will be held in Frankfurt, Budapest, Dublin, and London.

“Frankfurt, Budapest, Dublin, and London will all feature No Repeat Weekend shows that will continue to offer a completely unique experience each night: two totally different set lists spanning our 40+ years with two different sets of support acts! Purchase a 2-Day ticket, and you won’t hear the same song twice. As you’ve come to expect, we’ll be sure to have lots of extracurricular events planned for you to hang with fellow Metallica fans on the day between shows.”

The band is also reviving the One Night Only format, with special performances scheduled in cities where Metallica hasn’t played in well over a decade—or in some cases, nearly three.

“Continuing with the new twist started in ’25, there will be eight One Night Only shows, including long-overdue stops in Athens (for the first time since 2010), Chorzów (for the first time since 2008), and Cardiff (for the first time since 1996!). We’ll also play single shows in Bucharest, Zurich, Berlin, Bologna, and Glasgow.”

True to form, Metallica will once again offer a variety of Enhanced Experiences to suit different levels of fan enthusiasm and budget. These range from backstage tours and meet-and-greets to early entry and access to the sought-after Snake Pit. For superfans, the coveted “I Disappear Ticket” returns, granting access to every European date on the M72 tour.

“Enhanced Experiences ranging from access to a meet-and-greet, production and stage tour, and food and beverage in the Black Box Lounge to early entry into the venue and the aforementioned Snake Pit. The ‘I Disappear Ticket’ is back and is the ultimate pass for the fan who wants to run away with us and attend every M72 2026 show in Europe!”

Tickets for both the No Repeat Weekend (2-day discounted bundles) and One Night Only shows go on sale Friday, May 30, at 10 AM local time. Fan Club presales begin earlier, on Tuesday, May 27, at 9 AM local time, with various other presale windows throughout the week.

“No Repeat Weekend 2-Day discounted tickets and One Night Only show tickets will go on sale on Friday, 30 May, at 10 AM local time. Fan Club presales start early on Tuesday, 27 May, with the first one at 9 AM local time. There will also be various other presales beginning later that day and throughout the week (check out the complete list for details).”

Single-day tickets for No Repeat Weekend cities will be available starting July 25, 2025, offering more flexibility for fans unable to commit to both nights.

“To request your Fan Club presale code, visit here. If you cannot join us for a full No Repeat Weekend, Single-Day tickets to those shows will be available starting 25 July 2025.”

Additional travel packages, including hotel accommodations and local transportation, will be made available via Metallica’s official travel platform.
