METALLICA Streams Remastered, Live & Alternate Versions Of “Ain’t My Bitch”

Do you like Metallica‘s Load track “Ain’t My Bitch” enough to sit through a live version, a slightly different version with a rough mix, a demo, and the remastered version? Because that’s what Metallica has for you below. Personally, I’m curious to hear it all and see what changed between the demo versions and the final versions. Mostly because I am a giant nerd.
Metallica will reissue their 1996 record Load on June 13 and it’s got a lot of bonus material (a load of bonus material?). Load has been remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering and overseen by longtime Metallica producer Greg Fidelman. Among the bonus tracks on the Load reissue is the extended version of “The Outlaw Torn”, which was cut down to a shorter runtime thanks to manufacturing demands. Outside that, there’s a massive Load box set that features the following:
- Load (Remastered) on 180-gram double LP and CD
- “Mama Said” picture disc
- Three live LPs
- 15 CDs
- Four DVDs featuring unreleased content (live shows, rough mixes, demos, etc)
- MP3 download card of all audio
- Two tour laminates
- 11″ x 17″ Lollapalooza poster
- Pushead patch
- 8″ x 10″ Rolling Stone Magazine cover print
- Five-pack of guitar/bass picks
- Pack of 14 Rorschach Test cards
- Lyric folder and sheets
- 128-page hardcover book with never-before-seen photos + stories from those who were there
There’s also a 3xCD version with previously unreleased, demos, rough mixes, and live tracks from their worldwide tour. The CDs are housed in a digipak with an embossed cover and includes a 36-page booklet. And of course there’s just a standard CD and vinyl reissue as well. Check ’em all out here.
