PARADISE LOST’s New Record Is Done Being Recorded

The first new Paradise Lost record since 2020 is done being recorded! According to guitarist Aaron Aedy in an interview with Alejandrosis: “It’s not fully mixed yet, but it’s recorded.”

When asked if he could talk a little about how the new record sounded, Aedy declined: “No. It’s like opening your presents before Christmas. No, I don’t wanna go into the new album too much just yet, ’cause I’ll wait to see what it’s like when it’s mixed. It’s almost finished, but not quite.”

In an interview with Chile’s PowerOfMetal.cl from March 2025, Paradise Lost vocalist Nick Holmes revealed that the band’s new record is nearly done and should hopefully be out either this September or October.

“Yeah. It’s already halfway recorded,” said Holmes. “Next week I go to Sweden to finish off recording vocals, and then we mix it and master it and then we give it to the label. And I think it’s coming out, like, September time. So, yeah, it’s almost finished. It’s been the longest time we’ve ever had between albums. But that’s kind of because of the pandemic as well… So shit happens. And, yeah, hopefully it’ll come out September, October time this year.”

Paradise Lost recently announced their The Devil Embraced mini-US tour for this May. All dates take place between Paradise Lost‘s sets at Milwaukee Metal Fest and Maryland Deathfest, and feature either Gigan or Trouble as the openers. Tickets are available here.

“We never get to play America as much as we would like to so it’s always great to get the opportunity to return,” said Paradise Lost of the trek. “We are all really looking forward to playing these shows, and hope to see you all there.”
