Pennan Brae captures vintage 70s rock with rhythmic beats

Canadian musician Pennan Brae has released lead single ‘Synergy’ which is taken from his new album 2 Below 0.

Hailing from Vancouver, the singer-songwriter and screenwriter has a vintage 1970s tinge employing lush string arrangements, roaming pedal steel guitar and a rich, driving beat.

The album serves as a soundtrack for the ‘2 Below 0’ film, which Pennan Brae wrote, acted and scored. It follows on from 2018’s ‘The Astronot’ album &’ film, which Pennan also wrote and scored.

Featuring 12 stripped down rock ‘n’ roll tracks, ‘Synergy’ is a classic rock track taking to the likes of Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones Pennan Brae smashes the rhythmic instrumentals out of the park. It has a hard-hitting drum beat and raucous vocal tones making it a loud, electric piece.
