SEPULTURA Says GREYSON NEKRUTMAN Is Still In The Band Despite Joining TRIVIUM

Trivium parted ways with drummer Alex Bent last week and have since recruited Sepultura drummer Greyson Nekrutman for all live activities. Which of course made fans wonder if he was still in Sepultura, or if the Trivium gig was his new full-time deal.

According to a statement from Sepultura, it’s the latter: “As many of you may already know, our drummer Greyson Nekrutman has temporarily joined our friends from Trivium as their drummer. In 2026, he’ll be back with Sepultura, resuming his place in the band as we continue our farewell tour. Stay tuned for new tour dates coming soon!”

Trivium frontman Matt Heafy also commented on Nekrutman‘s addition in a separate comment on social media, thank Sepultura for essentially loaning the guy to the band: “Thanks for everything @greyson_nekrutman !! Thank you @sepultura for letting us hang with your phenom of a drummer. We played slave new world in your honor!!! @andreaskisser @derrickgreenofficial @pauloxistoofficial”
