The Weekly Injection: New Releases From TEMPLE OF THE VOID, ERRA & More Out This Week 3/6

This week’s new heavy metal releases include ever-shifting blackened metal, prog grooves, and more! To the metals…

ALSO! Today, Bandcamp is doing their first Bandcamp Friday of 2026 where they waive the site’s share of profits giving bands/artists more money. So if you can get stuff from Bandcamp, please do.

Bosse-de-Nage – Hidden Fires Burn Hottest

The Weekly Injection: New Releases From TEMPLE OF THE VOID, ERRA & More Out This Week 3/6

Genre: Post-black metal/blackgaze
Origin: San Francisco, California
Label: The Flenser

Starting this week off with something pretty cool. There is a lot of ethereal blackened metal out there and a band like Bosse-de-Nage are shaking up the scene. Very little about this record is straight ahead. There are constant rhythmic shifts and tonal movements. This isn’t one to put on and space out to, and it’s better for that fact.

Erra – silence outlives the earth

Genre: Progressive metalcore
Origin: Birmingham, Alabama
Label: UNFD

Album number seven from these proggsters is another catchy, technical metalcore beast. You’ll find big ol’ grooves galore, plenty of shredding, and the usual stellar vocal juxtaposition of screamy J.T. paiured with singy Jesse.

Leaves Eyes – Song Of Darkness

The Weekly Injection: New Releases From TEMPLE OF THE VOID, ERRA & More Out This Week 3/6

Genre: Ludwigsburg, Germany
Origin: Symphonic metal
Label: Reigning Phoenix

This is a four song EP built around the lead single “Song of Darkness.” Odd that this EP wasn’t called SongS of Darkness, but I digress. These tracks should satiate fans while they wait for the next full-length from these symphonic folks and serves as an introduction to a few new members.

Moon Tooth – Bastard

The Weekly Injection: New Releases From TEMPLE OF THE VOID, ERRA & More Out This Week 3/6

Genre: Progressive metal
Origin: Long Island, New York
Label: Self-released

Buy now on Bandcamp

Always excited when there’s some new Moon Mooth. It’s a shame that it’s only four tracks, but the musicianship is stellar and the vocals are rad. Like Sevendust mixed with Gojira… sorta. Whatever, it’s rad.

Temple Of Void – The Crawl

The Weekly Injection: New Releases From TEMPLE OF THE VOID, ERRA & More Out This Week 3/6

Genre: Death metal/doom
Origin: Detroit, Michigan
Label: Relapse

Buy now on Bandcamp

Readers looking for some proper darkness should be happy with the next couple records. First, Temple of Void‘s first record in four years will slowly rip you apart. Riffs are nasty and the tempos are lurching (until they’re not). Straight up evil.

Vreid – The Skies Turn Black

The Weekly Injection: New Releases From TEMPLE OF THE VOID, ERRA & More Out This Week 3/6

Genre: Melodic black metal
Origin: Sogndal, Norway
Label: Indie

Buy now on Bandcamp

Speaking of straight up evil. The first Vreid record in half a decade is the perfect soundtrack to your forest adventure. There’s JUST the right amount of melody here, but the bulk of this is fast, thrashing, and sinister.
