TORCHE Announces More UK Reunion Shows

Torche‘s reunion show count in 2025 is now up to five! The band has five upcoming shows across the UK this September – mostly with Helms Alee but one with Cave In to kick things off – all of which you can find below. No word on what Torche‘s longterm plans are at the moment. Check out those dates below and cross your fingers for some North American dates in the near future!

9/12 Glasgow Core Festival (w/ Helms Alee & Omo)
9/13 Dublin Button Factory (w/ Helms Alee)

No word on what the band’s lineup is in 2025. When Torche ended, they were guitarist and vocalist Steve Brooks, guitarist Jon Nuñez, bassist Eric Hernandez, and drummer Rick Smith.

As far as Torche‘s end, the band never really issued a formal statement. In an Instagram post at the time, one fan asked Brooks to clarify if he was done with the band or if Torche was done overall. Brooks responded “We’re done. Only plan on reissuing out of print records some day. Moving on.” In another comment unearthed by The PRP, Brooks offered a little insight into why Torche is calling it quits.

“I had adventures in this band I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise and made many friends through touring. At this point, I live in rural Oregon Coast and everyone else is in Miami. It’s a mission travelling across country to be crammed in a van for a month, worrying about money to cover all these expenses, possible theft, health/safety and depending on others to take care of our responsibilities at home is too much. The only enjoyable moments for me is onstage (30-80 minutes.) Come see us, if you can.”
