Watch SLAYER’s First Show Of 2025
Slayer kicked off their 2025 live shows with a powerful return to the United Kingdom, performing their first UK show in six years on Thursday, July 3, at the 35,000-capacity Blackweir Fields in Cardiff. This and Slayer’s upcoming July 6 show at London’s 45,000-capacity Finsbury Park mark the largest UK concerts of the band’s career.
These two dates also stand as Slayer‘s only European headlining shows scheduled for 2025, making them must-see events for fans across the continent. The full set ran as follows, a lot of which you can see above and below thanks to some fan-filmed footage:

In a recent interview with Metal Roos, Slayer guitarist Kerry King opened up about the band’s future plans following their surprise return to the stage in late 2024. After a five-year hiatus, Slayer performed two special festival appearances in September and October 2024, sparking speculation about a possible full-scale comeback. However, King made it clear that fans should not expect more.
“We’re never gonna tour again. We’re never gonna make a record again,” King stated. “Mark my word: we’re never gonna make a record again, we’re never gonna tour again. Because that was the last thing. We said [back in 2018], ‘This is our final tour.’ It took five years for us to come and say, ‘Hey, here’s a couple of shows, five-year anniversary.'”
King’s comments reaffirm Slayer‘s long-standing position that their 2018 farewell tour was truly the end of their era as a touring and recording band. While the band’s return for limited performances in 2024 and 2025 — including headlining dates at Blackweir Fields in Cardiff and Finsbury Park in London — has thrilled fans, it appears these shows are intended as rare exceptions rather than a full reactivation.
