The Chainsmokers put out a music video for their collaborative track with Kygo, titled “Family” off their new album. The music video tells a very personal and touching story of their close friend, Rory Kramer – a videographer for the production duo. The trio’s relationship grew and the three friends got close while spending time on the road. Most of the video footage is from Rory over the years and gives viewers a special look at all the highs and lows that he goes through.
The video displays the challenges and vulnerabilities that a person can face. Intertwined with a collection of home videos and clips, the uplifting video is delivered as a thank you to everyone who has supported each other through mental struggles.
Even the brightest person like Rory can fall into a dark place. So it highlights how important close friends and family are and how meaningful it is to care about the people nearest to you.
Kramer commented on the post,
“What a beautiful well written message. I love you guys —— I’m gonna go cry now.”
