Former MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE Drummer BOB BRYAR Has Passed Away

Bob Bryar, former drummer of My Chemical Romance, has died at the age of 44. As reported by TMZ, Bryar was found deceased in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, November 26. Authorities have confirmed there were no signs of foul play, and his personal belongings remained undisturbed. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined and remains under investigation.

Bryar became a vital part of My Chemical Romance in 2004, stepping in as the replacement for the band’s original drummer, Matt Pelissier. His contributions spanned several releases, most notably the band’s celebrated album The Black Parade. Fans still hold his work during this era in high regard. However, his tenure with the band came to an end in 2010.

In March of that year, My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero shared the news of Bryar’s departure in a heartfelt message on the band’s website. He wrote, “As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.”

Years later, in 2015, Bryar shed light on the difficult period following his exit from the band. In a candid social media post, he revealed, “It’s been about five years since I was kicked out of My Chem, I became the most depressed, angry, suicidal person ever. Now, I am on so many pills that I feel a bit better, although, it still (b)others me every day. In a recent conversation, I was told I won’t be back.”
