Perez Hilton’s Family Shares Update Following Medical Crisis
Perez Hilton’s family has spoken out again following a week of turmoil for the media personality. Hilton appeared to harm himself during a TikTok Live earlier this week that reportedly lasted around 15 minutes. He has since received medical care, and now his family is sharing an update on his condition.
In a statement published on PerezHilton.com, Hilton’s family confirmed that he can communicate. “We have also been able to confirm that Perez is able to communicate, which has given our family hope.” The family also expressed gratitude to everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind messages, and support. “Our family wants to once again thank everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind messages, and support for Perez. Your compassionate humanity during this heartbreaking time has meant more than words can express.”
They acknowledged how difficult the past week has been for both Hilton’s loved ones and his team. “This has been incredibly difficult and emotional for us, made even harder because very little information has been made available to our family. While we continue to wait for further updates, we remain hopeful.
“We respectfully ask for your continued prayers, understanding, and grace as Perez continues to recover,” they added. “We will share additional updates as we receive confirmed information and are able to do so. For now, we’re taking things one step at a time and keeping our focus where it belongs — on Perez and his recovery.”
Hilton has long been known for his celebrity gossip and controversial blog posts. More recently, he has co-hosted The Perez Hilton podcast with Chris Booker. According to Booker, the podcast is on hold until further notice as the focus shifts to Hilton’s health.
In recent months, Hilton has also spoken openly about a significant spiritual transformation. He shared that he experienced a near-death encounter with God during a hospital stay. The experience, he said, led him to embrace a more active, personal Christian faith and reconnect with his Catholic roots.
