Average Life Complaints – Wealth Gap

‘Wealth Gap’ is the debut single from Brixton-based Average Life Complaints. The four piece came together at the begining of the year and if ‘Wealth Gap’ is anything to go by they look set to be here for quite some time to come.

Another addition to the ever growing post-punk scene Average Life Complaints slide seamlessly into the genre with this track. The searing guitars and pounding bassline very quickly get you involved in the song and the vocal performance of Charlie Weight suits perfectly with it’s spoken/shouted lyrics.

Talking about the song Weight had the following to say:

“The lyrics discuss the unrealistic standards of wealth and beauty that can be seen today across social media and how these standards affect both people’s mental health and our society as a whole.”
