Borito – What We Have Now

Borito

Borito, the Tel Aviv funksters, have officially arrived on the indie world scene with their debut album ‘What We Have Now’.

Following up on the release of singles ‘Nice & Slowly’, ‘Child’ and ‘My Kind of Love’ the Israeli quartet have now released their first album ‘What We Have Now’.

The band have stated the album invites fans to step into their ‘time machine’ and travel back to that summer holiday which sticks in the mind whenever you’re caught daydreaming about happier times – plenty of that going on right now.

I have to admit this album with all its dreamy, colourful arrangements and a funky overtone certainly delivers a much-needed hit of summer. It’s that playful and summery it should come with a free Freeze Pop.

Tracks like ‘Somday’, ‘Face’ and ‘Dani’ are absolutely perfect for transporting your mind to a sun-drenched grassy knoll somewhere. With an ice-cold drink in hand just watching the world go by or making pictures out of the clouds with friends.

Dripping with psychedelic, woozy guitars and a truly unique kaleidoscopic aura of nostalgia. ‘What We Have Now’ is an audible signature piece from incredible producers and band members Yael Copeland and Shahar Levi.

It’s easy to see why Borito have gathered such a devoted following of fans with their work to date. To be honest, with this new album, if you’ve been a fan of the Israeli indie-pop quartet so far – you’ll love it.
