Clara Summerton – Runaway

Building on a strong interest in music at an early age and after steady honing of her guitar, songwriting and production skills Sweden-based performer Clara Summerton now releases her first single ‘Runaway’. It is a thoughtful, considered mix of floating electronic guitar textures, synths, beats and one of those cyclical melodies that lodges firmly in your head.

The wistful lyrics ‘…the summer of our lives…it was supposed to be alright by now….I’m watching as my life is crashing down…I was supposed to make it right…’ never quite resolve, preferring to leave the action open ‘…thought I ran away…’, but whatever the emotional consequences of the words Clara delivers the song in smooth style…
