Hunter Moreau – Hazy
Rarely is a song as true to its name as ‘Hazy by Hunter Moreau’ is – managing to combine nostalgia, a longing for a summer night and a dreamy sound. Driven by a heavy drum beat this song will have you singing along in no time – this is synthpop at its finest.
Hailing from a small town in Massachusetts, ‘Hazy’ shows a really mature sound for someone who is just 18. If all of Hunter’s upcoming music is as good as this – or ‘Drive In’, the song which got her noticed – her name is going to be everywhere within a few years.
“As simple as it may sound, ‘Hazy’ is about the pure bliss of summer nights,” Hunter says. “Doug and I were reminiscing about stories with friends, both new and old, and the magic that seems to happen on warm nights where nothing seems to really matter. We wrote this song to capture the nostalgia of looking back on those carefree times, and the longing of that same feeling again. The feeling that no other moment matters besides right now. The excitement of not caring how exactly you’re going to get home, or where you even are, but just knowing that you want whatever feeling this is to last forever.”
