The Paranoyds – Pet Cemetery

Opening with a heavy baseline and sustained guitar tones, the LA four-piece The Paranoyds dark new single ‘Pet Cemetery’ builds to a gratifying guitar interlude. The harmonies on the lead vocals create a full and enriched sound, which are complemented by the rhythmic drums carrying the song forward.

The emphatic verse continues into an instrumental release, which repeats the guitar lick before a sudden change. A drop in tempo allows the keys to come into the forefront, accompanied by a bass, guitar and drum all in unison. At this point the sustained finish and guitar feedback create an ending almost reminiscent of the close of a show.
