ELEINE Announce Departure of Both Bassist and Drummer Amidst Allegations of Misconduct

Swedish metal band Eleine made a statement on the 14th of February explaining the termination of both their bassist, Filip Stålberg, and drummer, Jesper Sunnhagen due to “inappropriate” behaviour towards fans. It appears that vocalist Madeleine Lijestam, Rikard Ekberg, and Victor Jonasson remain in Eleine.

The short and concise statement, signed by Lijestam and Ekberg, details:

“[Stålberg and Sunhagen] have broken one of the most important parts of our band member contract by acting inappropriately towards our fans.

Their departure will be immediate and will NOT affect our upcoming tours.

There will be replacement musicians to stand in during the upcoming shows.

Thank you for understanding that we put our fans first.”

The three remaining members of Eleine are still due to set out on tour, starting April 2nd, in support of their 2023 record, We Shall Remain. You can find tour dates below.
