FIMBUL WINTER (Ex-AMON AMARTH) Streams First New, Frosty Single

After a little teasing, Fimbul Winter is finally streaming their debut single “Mounds Of Stones” and it’s exactly the amount of death metal you’re gonna need in your life today.

“We’ve poured our passion, energy, and heart into this track,” said Fimbul Winter of the track. “It’s more than just a song, it’s our way of showing the world what we’re capable of, and we can’t wait for people to finally hear it. ‘Mounds of Stones’ tells the story of a figure shaped by suffering, who turns his pain into vengeance. He isn’t remembered by name, only by the silence and the stones left behind.”

Formed by former Amon Amarth founding members Anders Biazzi (formerly Anders Hansson) and Niko Kaukinen, alongside longtime Amon Amarth drummer Fredrik Andersson and Clint Williams (Munitions) on vocals, Fimbul Winter represents unfinished business and a renewed dedication to the roots of Swedish melodic death metal. Tobias Cristiansson (Necrophobic, Grave, Dismember) provides session bass.

Fimbul Winter is set to release their debut EP What Once Was on November 14. Pre-orders are available here.
