NOVARUPTA Announces Their Final Album, Streams “Endless Joy”
Novarupta – the project headed up by Alex Stjernfeldt – is coming to an end. Novarupta will release its final album Astral Sands on February 12, and we’re thrilled to debut the first single from the effort “Endless Joy”.
“‘Endless Joy’ is about the dualities of creation and life,” wrote Novarupta of the single. “From vivid loathing to the ecstasy of life. Both the music and lyrics was created very organic, like a stream of consciousness between Alex and Per Stålberg (Division of Laura Lee, Child). And it got added life with Johannes Björk‘s beautiful string arrangements. In many ways ‘Endless Joy’ reflects the past, the present and the future of what Novarupta was all about.”
Astral Sands is available for pre-order here via Suicide Records. The album runs as follows with the accompanying guests:
- “Ensamstående: Enastående”
- “Seven Collides” (featuring Jonas Mattsson)
- “The Bullet Shines Before Impact” (featuring Kristofer Åström)
- “Endless Joy” (featuring Per Stålberg and Johannes Björk)
- “The Clay Keeps” (featuring Mark Wilson-Pepper)
- “Terraforming Celestial Bodies” (featuring Arvid Hällagård)
