It was a big year for metal, let’s be real here. Metal bands were on late night television shows, on red carpets, breaking records and boundaries they didn’t know were possible… but Jesus Christ, with nearly 100 million listeners, they put in the work, listening to over 185 million hours of Metallica.

And let’s be real here, we all know the band’s most streamed songs – “Enter Sandman” is creeping up on 2 billion streams, and “Master Of Puppets” and “Nothing Else Matters” sit at a cool billion-odd streams each – and well, they maintained their position on Metallica‘s top played chart.

In a post to X, the band account wrote:

“You guys continue to outdo yourselves every year! Over 21 THOUSAND YEARS worth of our music was streamed on

@Spotify in 2025. Sincere thanks to the #MetallicaFamily, who listened all year, joined us on the #M72 World Tour, & supported us from every corner of the globe. We can’t wait to see you on the road!”

Metallica will be hitting the road in Europe next summer, with an onslaught of tour dates already announced. Their tour packages are luxe as always, with a range of experiences with a multitude of price ranges. The band describes that:

“Enhanced Experiences [range] from access to a meet-and-greet, production and stage tour, and food and beverage in the Black Box Lounge to early entry into the venue and the aforementioned Snake Pit. The ‘I Disappear Ticket’ is back and is the ultimate pass for the fan who wants to run away with us and attend every M72 2026 show in Europe!”

Tickets for both the No Repeat Weekend (2-day discounted bundles) and One Night Only shows go on sale Friday, May 30, at 10 AM local time. Fan Club presales begin earlier, on Tuesday, May 27, at 9 AM local time, with various other presale windows throughout the week.

“No Repeat Weekend 2-Day discounted tickets and One Night Only show tickets will go on sale on Friday, 30 May, at 10 AM local time. Fan Club presales start early on Tuesday, 27 May, with the first one at 9 AM local time. There will also be various other presales beginning later that day and throughout the week (check out the complete list for details).”

Single-day tickets for No Repeat Weekend cities will be available starting July 25, 2025, offering more flexibility for fans unable to commit to both nights.

“To request your Fan Club presale code, visit here. If you cannot join us for a full No Repeat Weekend, Single-Day tickets to those shows will be available starting 25 July 2025.”

Additional travel packages, including hotel accommodations and local transportation, will be made available via Metallica’s official travel platform.”

The tour announcement also includes the fact that: “As always, a portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band’s foundation, All Within My Hands. Established in 2017 as a way to give back to communities that have supported Metallica over the years, All Within My Hands has raised over $20 million, providing $11.4 million in grants to career and technical education programs, including the ground-breaking Metallica Scholars Initiative, now in its seventh year, over $7.4 million to combat food insecurity, and more than $4.7 million to disaster relief efforts.”
