QUEEN’s BRIAN MAY Has Suffered A Minor Stroke
Queen guitarist Brian May has sadly suffered a minor stroke. According to May in a video, the stroke happened about a week ago when all of a sudden he noticed he couldn’t control his arm. May said he’s able to play guitar once again and assures everyone he’s fine now, later joking that he wants no sympathy as it’ll “clutter up his inbox.”
“The good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days,” said May. “I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago, and what they called it was a minor stroke. All of a sudden — out of the blue — I didn’t have any control over this arm. So it was a little scary, I have to say.”
He continued: “I had the most fantastic care and attention from [Frimley Park Hospital] where I went – blue lights flashing the lot very exciting. I might post you a video if you like. I didn’t want to say anything at the time because I didn’t want anything surrounding it, you know? I really don’t want sympathy. Please don’t do that because it’ll clutter up my inbox and I hate that. So good news is I’m okay.
May later added he’s doing “what he’s told” at the moment, which isn’t much. We wish May all the best in his recovery and hope for more positive health updates soon.
