SLAYER Launches Their Own Digital Museum

The recently (kinda) reunited Slayer is looking back on their iconic career with the official launch of their new online museum, Slaytanic Verses.

In partnership with Definitive Authentic/Inveniem, this exclusive virtual museum offers a behind-the-scenes look at memorabilia rarely seen by the public, straight from the band’s personal archives. So if you’re a huge Slayer fan – or you just really, really like metal history – this one is for you.

Slaytanic Verses is opening with their first collection Live Assaults: 1981 Through Today featuring a boatload of live memorabilia from over the years years. This collection will be constantly updated with new memorabilia and stories uncovered from the many years Slayer spent touring in front of audiences all over the world.

Check out the museum here. As for Slayer being reunited, it’s a low and slow burn. In a recent interview with Total Guitar, Slayer guitarist Kerry King said fans shouldn’t expect more than a few festival appearances – including Europe, eventually.

“Everyone thinks Slayer are getting back together, but that couldn’t be further from the truth,” said King. “We’ve been turning down gigs ever since we stopped. This one came and I thought, ‘If we’re ever going to do one, this could be cool because it’s the five-year anniversary of our final tour.’

“We’re not going to record anymore. That final tour was definitely our final tour. This is just a reason to have some fun the guys, play a few shows and then jump back in the coffin…”
