SLEEP Auctioning Off Iommic Life Vinyl To Benefit New Mexico Food Bank

Sleep is doing some good in the world by auctioning off a vinyl copy of their 2021 compilation Iommic Life to benefit the Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico. The Iommic Life vinyl is signed by all three members – Al Cisneros, Matt Pike, and Jason Roeder – and Sleep will donate 100% of the proceeds to the food bank.

For those unaware, Iommic Life is a compilation featuring Sleep‘s 2014 single “The Clarity” and the 2018 single “Leagues Beneath”. You can bid here. As for when you can possibly expect Sleep to follow up their 2018 record The Sciences, Pike said in a recent interview with Steelworks that the band has quietly been working on… something.

“Well, we haven’t played live in a while and we took a little hiatus,” said Pike. “Right now we’re just playing D&D online really, and there’s some surprises coming up but I can’t elaborate or share on how that’s going to turn out.

“So you know, we’re talking and and working on stuff again, but it’s not come to fruition. It’s nothing that I can announce. You know us, we’ll drop a record in the middle of the night and no one will know it’s coming. So it’s… I don’t really give away those secrets because that band so odd. I don’t know what’s gonna happen myself.”

Pike added: “I’m on good ground with those dudes and we’re talking about some cool shit. I’ll leave it at.”
