THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Announces Philly Reunion Show With THE RED CHORD, PISSED JEANS & More

The Dillinger Escape Plan has been out there playing reunion shows with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis. The shows have ffeatured material from the band’s 1997 self-titled and 1998 Under the Running Board EPs, as well as their 1999 debut Calculating Infinity.

And if you’re in Philly this November 23 – specifically anywhere near the Franklin Music Hall – you can go see The Dillinger Escape Plan do their thing once again! The show features Pissed Jeans, The Red Chord, Hirs, and Rid Of Me as openers, with tickets available here.

“Exciting News! We’re thrilled to announce that The Dillinger Escape Plan will be bringing one of our 25th anniversary Calculating Infinity shows in Liam’s home city, Philadelphia. Philly, in general, has always been sort of a hometown for us and was always a high point of any tour.”

Even better, The Dillinger Escape Plan mastermind Ben Weinman recently said in an interview with Vulgar Display Of Podcast there have been “some talks” of busting out some unreleased material laying around.

“I do not want to tour with this band,” said Weinman. “I’ve said it time and time again. These are events. I want these to be special events. I want Dillinger fans to be able to go somewhere together, maybe fly there, maybe drive there, maybe just talk about it, and hang out and spend time together doing something that’s like-minded and important to them, and enjoy the whole experience.

“I don’t want it to be like ‘yeah, I’ll go. They’re coming around. I’ll get them when I get them.’ The point is to do – for us and for fans – to be able to do some of these limited kind of event-type things where this is a special thing. I really don’t want to tour with it.

“There is no plans to do music or anything like that. It really is a celebration of Calculating Infinity and some of the earlier stuff we did before that. I am very satisfied with how we ended in 2017. I think we did it right. I was really proud of that and really left with no regrets… but there is some hidden unreleased stuff laying around in hard drive and there’s some talks about maybe you know, cleaning it up a little bit and putting it out. But as far as really creating new music, that’s not really on the agenda.”
