MUDVAYNE’s GREG TRIBBETT Sitting Out L.D. 50 Anniversary Tour Following His Wife’s Death

Mudvayne have confirmed that guitarist Greg Tribbett will not be joining them on their L.D. 50 25^th Anniversary tour, after the death of his wife Debbie following a year-and-a-half-long battle with angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

The band announced the news on social media just hours before the tour kicked off in Dubuque, Iowa on September 11. “Tour starts today! We are going to miss our brother Greg on this tour, sending him and his family all the love,” they wrote.

Debbie‘s passing was first shared on September 7 by the MudvayNe Mob fan community on Facebook, which paid tribute to her unwavering support of the band and her role in nurturing its fanbase. “She was fiercely supportive of Mudvayne and her loving husband Greg — always so proud,” the post read. “We miss you beautiful sweet friend more than words can say.”

A GoFundMe campaign had been launched in 2023 to help with medical expenses after Debbie‘s diagnosis, with fans rallying behind the Tribbett family throughout her fight with the disease.

Mudvayne‘s anniversary run, celebrating their groundbreaking 2000 debut L.D. 50, continues through October 26 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
