der Mist – der Mist

der Mist

Glaswegian outfit der Mist are one of those duo’s you find that instantly capture your whole being. Creating innovative music that requires your full gaze, they return with their vibrant self-titled, debut album. With support from BBC Radio Scotland and New Noise Magazine to name a few, the album is certainly impressing fans across the globe. 14 tracks that guide you through der Mist’s thought process and their cultural understandings, the track’s could easily take on the world.

What makes der Mist stand out, you say? They don’t follow your typical bog-standard rock rulebook, instead, they create music that’s true to their art and themselves. Previous singles ‘Step Into the Light’ and It’s ‘Alright’ showcase that der Mist don’t particularly like sticking to one specific sound, and that’s completely empowering. We have enough mainstream artists creating watered-down music, so hearing an outfit doing their own thing is inspiring.

Speaking about the album, the duo state, “We made this with the idea that it is built to last, we’re not trying to jump on to any music fads or be part of a scene. We just love music and we hope people can put this on and get something from it, even 10 years down the line.”

der Mist’s self-titled album is out now, and exceeds any expectation that you might have had. From tracks such as ‘Red Light’ showcasing the band’s love for synths and samples to garage-infused contender ‘In My Dreams’’ confident nature – this album has something for everyone.
