Olivia Morreale – NO ANSWER

From the moment the opening synths of ‘NO ANSWER’ reverberated into my earphones, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. The dream-like trance which is Olivia Morreale’s newest release continues throughout the song, as the Eighties-inspired retrowave bass pulls the track along and drenches the soundscape in purples and oranges.

‘You got a strange look in your eyes’ is the first line, and that sums up the energy here. I feel like I’ve been taken on a drive along a glittering coast under a night skyline (the song originated from a sunset journey along Malibu, California) with someone I truly love. The imagery created through the beautiful lyrics mean that this track isn’t merely a song; it’s a form of art, a poem brought to life by sound.

Looking at Olivia’s Spotify it appears to be her first song. I want more from her, because this sounds so good. I’ve already added this to a playlist and followed Olivia’s artist profile. Check it out, because sounds this good don’t come along every day.
