Old-School BLACK VEIL BRIDES Fans, Rejoice: “Hallelujah” Signals A Heavier Comeback

Black Veil Brides is back with their first new single of 2025, “Hallelujah”. The track is Black Veil Brides‘ first new music since their 2024 chart-topping hit “Bleeders”, and signals a return to the band’s heavier roots. So if you’re one of those “I liked their older stuff” people, this one’s for you!
The track is available now across all major digital streaming platforms via Spinefarm Records, with production credits going to Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack and guitarist Jake Pitts. Notably, the Tampa-based gospel choir One Voice Ensemble adds a haunting depth to the song for that extra creep factory.
Biersack describes “Hallelujah” as a statement of intent for Black Veil Brides‘ next chapter: “‘Hallelujah’ is an important song for us, not only because it is the first track from the new record, but also as a signifier of what’s to come for the band. On a narrative level, it represents the themes and ideas I am exploring lyrically on the album.
“I am fascinated by the current state of discourse and how often we seem to prioritize ideological certainty over the heart and soul of humanity. Over the years we have developed a tremendous connection with our audience, which is often dismissed or misinterpreted by the ‘scene.’ We stand at a unique inflection point culturally and I want to be able to speak openly about how much I believe in being true to yourself over the fear of mass hysteria or in-group recriminations.
“When my grandfather’s voice spoke to ‘the outcasts’ in the first moments of our first record in 2010, it was a sincere call to arms for all those who feel different. In many ways this record is the natural evolution of that same idea. This is the heaviest and most vitriolic Black Veil Brides record by far but more importantly I believe it is the most sincere and honest record we have ever made.”
Black Veil Brides are set to debut their powerful new single “Hallelujah” live for the first time at this month’s Warped Tour stop in Long Beach, California. The performance marks a major milestone for the band, who have been gaining momentum following a triumphant run supporting Babymetal across the U.S.
Black Veil Brides is also slated to release a new record sometime later this year, which they said is poised to be the heaviest and most emotionally raw body of work the band has ever released. Biersack sees it as the spiritual successor to the band’s 2010 debut: “That was a call to arms for those who felt like they didn’t belong. This record is an evolution of that idea. It’s angry, it’s visceral, but most importantly, it’s honest.”
