ALICE COOPER Recruits Guitarist GILBY CLARKE To Replace ORIANTHI On Upcoming Tour
Alice Cooper has announced guitarist Gilby Clarke (ex-Guns N’ Roses, etc.) as the replacement in his band for Orianthi on his upcoming tour. Orianthi originally replaced Nita Strauss, who announced at the time she had conflicting obligations of her own. The tour kicks off on January 31 so hopefully Cooper doesn’t have to go and find a fourth guitarist to step in for the dates – dude seems like he’s had enough troubles with this one.
Orianthi has since revealed on her Instagram that she’s dealing with a torn hamstring and damage to my hip: “Unfortunately I have a torn hamstring and damage to my hip after Last tour, not sure exactly when it happened but the pain I feel/ felt is bad .. getting it fixed up now… I’ll be seated tonight playing a couple of tunes for 40th anniversary @prsguitars then resting up. love u all”
Alice Cooper will be announcing further 2025 tour dates soon with Nita Strauss back in the fold. Those dates include Alice Cooper‘s already-announced shows May 9 at the Sonic Temple festival, the Boardwalk Rock Festival on May 18, and August 15 in Philadelphia, PA at Lincoln Financial Field with My Chemical Romance.
