Perez Hilton Hospitalized in Serious Condition Following Surgery

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton remains hospitalized in “serious but stable” condition, with the media personality requiring surgery, his family confirmed in an update on Saturday. This development comes four days after Hilton was involved in a livestreamed self-harm incident.

“We want to confirm that Perez remains hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act,” the family stated in a post on his official website. “Perez’s condition remains serious but stable. He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. His treatment and recovery will be a long process. We are grateful that Perez was able to spend time with his mother and sister yesterday.”

In their statement, the family addressed the influx of misinformation surrounding the situation, noting that official updates will only be provided through his verified channels. “His communication has been extremely limited and confined to immediate family, medical providers, and others directly involved in his care,” they wrote. “He has not communicated with the media or issued any public statements.”

The family also reiterated their request for privacy, specifically asking members of the media to vacate the area surrounding his home. They further implored photographers to cease taking pictures of Hilton’s children, emphasizing that the blogger has long maintained a strict “no kids policy” regarding his private life. “We again respectfully ask members of the media to leave the home and surrounding area, stop following family members, and cease photographing Perez’s children,” the family added, confirming that the children remain safe and are being cared for by immediate family members.

On August 4, Hilton appeared to physically harm himself during a TikTok livestream. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office subsequently confirmed that Hilton was “safely recovered” and transported to a local hospital. He was alone in his residence at the time of the incident.
