New Music – Venus Demilo ‘Penniless’

 

 

The Liverpool based Venus Demilo deliver once again on their new single ‘Penniless’. You may already be familiar with the band from their previous releases ‘All I Want’ and ‘By The Book’ which both featured here in the past.

‘Penniless’ has a deep and dynamic sound that stretches throughout the track. Mostly based around a poppier indie sound, the new release also features a heavier breakdown and some louder, more anthemic sounding choruses. There is also an air of playfulness about ‘Penniless’ which is backed up by its accompanying video. This band is great, it is as simple as that, and when venues reopen these guys should be near the top of your list to go and see.
