Kavanagh – Citizen 202

Kavanagh

To create a track that stands out, you either need to think outside the box or feature strong contenders in the music scene… Kavanagh’s latest single does both. Recorded at Far Heath Studios with Angus Wallace of the Prodigy and Sex Pistols acclaim, the track also features the production skills of Mike Bennett (The Specials, Ian Brown, The Fall and Fat White Family).

‘Citizen 202’ may be under 2 minutes long, but it’s an experience best played to give you that boost you may be needing today. Like transporting listeners straight back to the 90s, this sounds like the rebirth of Nirvana, but without the grunge vocals from Kurt Cobain. Lyrically, the track explores escaping the hardships of humanity and being a member of the universe instead.

Youthful yet mature in places too, this is a hungry rock track that uses powerful instrumentation to express it’s message. An exciting band that deserves a pedestal or a rooftop to spread the word on their addictive music, Kavanagh should be on everybody’s radar.

‘Citizen 202’ is out on March 26th.
